REAL ROCK HI-FI is a Sound System and Record Label project focused on Roots Reggae & Dub, founded in Rome in 2003.
Since 2008 it has featured a self-built Sound System, enabling the transmission of Roots Reggae vibrations in the original Jamaican and UK Sound System style.
The musical selection is strictly vinyl, with a Roots Reggae & Dub vibe ranging from the origins to the most recent productions. Alongside the selection, performances often include the Live Dub Set by I Neurologici, featuring analog-mixed productions and live bass.
The “Reggae In The Roots Tradition” events provide a meeting space for other Sound Systems and both national and international artists.
In 2013, Real Rock Records was founded — the record label that presses vinyl releases in collaboration with the dub collective I Neurologici. The label has been working with international producers, artists and labels to reissue Roots Reggae productions from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
